Scholar's Center
The Staten Island Botanical Garden is currently developing plans for a state-of the art visitor's center. The Scholar's Center is envisioned as one of the most "cutting edge" resource centers in the country. Changing exhibits, an interactive computer center with a CD-ROM collection, formal education programs, lecture and performance space, and research facilities ranging from introductory materials on Chinese culture, to serious research. The Scholar's Center adds meaning and depth to this cultural attraction, and reinforces the importance of the interchange that takes place in multicultural societies.
