Upon its completion, the Staten Island Botanical Garden will be home to a 750 tree plantation, divided into a Pinetum, Oriental Flowering Tree and Shrub Collection, and a Native Wetland Tree and Shrub Collection. Phase one of two plantings was completed in April 1997 with the planting of 390 trees.
