Lions' Sensory Garden

The Lions' Sensory Garden is designed specifically for the physically challenged and, in fact is an award-winning example of such. By stimulating each of your senses, the unique design enhances the average garden experience.

At any season, from the first hyacinths in the early spring through the last scent of fragrant herbs lingering in the autumn air, the Sensory Garden is continually graced by an abundance of sweet scents. Heliotrope, lemon balm, thyme and oregano along with fragrant flowers all combine to produce an effect on the senses not often reproduced. However tempting it is, we do not let this initial gift to your sense of smell entirely eclipse the other senses. The relaxing sounds of the waterfall and the wind through the maples combines with the visually stimulating and tactile pleasing rock sculptures to evoke heightened feelings of peacefulness.
