Tuscan Garden

The Staten Island Botanical Garden is building a Tuscan Garden, the second of a series of six internationally themed “Gardens of the World” which will be built at the Garden in the next decade.

From the early Roman villas of the first century to the founding of the first botanical garden in Padua in the 16th century, Italy has been a major influence in western garden tradition. This treasured international garden style revered in Italy and Europe will be interpreted and presented through a variety of public programs, educational curricula and horticultural exhibits at the Richmond County Savings Foundation Italian Gardens at the Staten Island Botanical Garden.

The Italian Gardens will be an exceptional location for conferences, seminars and cultural events.
